Is Travel Insurance Really Necessary?

Travel is already expensive enough, isn't it? The cost of air fare, cruises, hotels, ground transportation, food and activities and entertainment are already high enough. I don't know about you, but I work hard for my money, and when I travel, I want to keep as much of my money in MY pocket as possible. Is travel insurance a necessity or a luxury? Why not cut a few corners here and there. Why buy something if it’s not really needed?

Bangkok’s Klong Prem Central Prison is something that tourists to Thailand usually try to avoid. Highly regimented, squalid living conditions, rotten food, harsh guards, and a powerful sense of isolation all add to the wonderful ambience of the place. An “extended stay” at this modern day Lubyanka Prison is something to be avoided at all costs. However, unwitting tourists might be bringing something into the country that could result in a long prison term and a hefty fine. What is this contraband? Heroin? Cocaine? Marijuana? Guns? Hustler Magazines? Vials of Ebola virus? No, none of these. The contraband that can destroy your life is...an e-cigarette.

I love food.

I also love to travel.

The other day I was trying to find a way in which I could actually combine the two things I love most and turn it into something fun to do. I mean, I could just spend the summer flying all over the world and visiting the top eateries, fancy restaurants and writing about that. But what if airfare and fine dining are not within your budget?

Copenhagen are known to be one of the top bike capitals in the world, and are a very bike friendly city with bike lanes almost all over town. There are bridges crossing the harbor which are only for bikes and pedestrians. Super bike lanes, which help you get fast from one point to another. Streets where the traffic lights are adjusted so that the bikes can go along, riding the green wave and don’t have to stop.

Yesterday i was reading an article about a guy from Norway, who claims that he has been visiting every country on mother earth.
What he did was that he took an airplane, went to the airport in the destination country, and then too the next flight home. But can you actually say that you have been visitng a country, just by being in the airport??

How to survive in one of the most expensive cities, without breaking the bank.

I am born and raised just outside of Copenhagen, where strawberries were bought in buckets where the grass ends in gooseberries and ribs. Back then, Copenhagen was a big city far away, but now I can jump on the train every 10 minutes, and be in the city center in less than 30 minutes. The distance is still the same but the city doesn’t feel that far away nowadays.
I love being in the city at summertime, spending my time biking or walking around, hanging out at a café having a coffee or a beer, go to Papirøen and eat at one of the many stalls at Copenhagen Street Food.

I often read or hear that Copenhagen are one of the most expensive cities to stay in, and that’s why many budget travelers avoid going here, but the truth is that you can actually explore Copenhagen without breaking the bank, so let’s dig into how that is possibly:

There are certain things you should avoid doing on an open network when traveling abroad.

It can be expensive to use the internet abroad, and by that it is simple and easy to connect to an open wifi network at the café, hotel or in the airport. Then you are again connected with the rest of the world.

But you better think twice about what you are doing, because you never know if it is only you using the connection.
