This is something I have been seeing all over the Internet for quite some time, so i just had to try - Avocado Chocolate Mousse.
Yes, I know, - It sounds crazy, but it actually work, and even work very well, and not at least, it is super tasty, and you won't get all the dairy, and besides that Avocado Chocolate Mousse are an excellent vegan desert, that only takes very little time to put together.
- One large Avocado
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup soy milk
- 1/4 cup agave honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- A touch of chili
Using this amount, will give a dark chocolate style mousse, not too sweet. If you prefer a mousse more like milk chocolate, i suggest to use a little less coca powder, and a little more honey.
Combine and blend
Break or cut the avocado into small pieces, and put all the ingredients in a food processor or a blender.
Process for 15-20 seconds, then stop and scrape down the sides, and then proces again until it get nice and smooth.
You can dig into it right away, but i suggest that you chill it for a little while, as it wins a lot if being chilled. Just don't let it sit too long in the fridge, once the avocado starts oxidizing it will alter the flavor, and it won't be in a positive way.
